<description>The world of wine is warm, human and tactile.

Each staff member's name appears on their card in their own handwriting, printed in the typical ball-point pen blue PMS colour.

The backs of the cards are made from the thinnest cork we could find. And the logo is reproduced using thermography.

<description>My second book with Rockport Publishers. It features a collection of the world's best annual report and brochure design.

Reviewing the work of design firms such as Sagmeister Inc., Milton Glaser Inc. and Design Army was truly an honour.

The call for entries invited firms from over 28 countries to participate. I don't think I have ever seen so many FedEx packages come through my door on any given day.

<description>A talk radio station that invited listeners to call in and share their views. The topics discussed were based on conversations that you might over hear in your local coffee shop.

And everyone is entitled to an opinion. As long as you have one.

Since opinions are essentially black or white, so was the identity. Large quotation marks were used as guerilla tools and placed throughout the city to highlight current topics being discussed. Example - quotation marks around the Winter Olympics Countdown Clock and the entrance to safe injection houses.

This highly interactive experience was expressed in an identity system that shared the same attributes. Precise die-cuts and scoring engaged the audience - cards and letterheads align themselves to reveal Tom's distinctive cross-hair 't' symbol.

<description>Perugia was the name of the fellow who stole the Mona Lisa in 1911. It is also the name of a little town in Italy.

This Italian-inspired salon spa drew considerable media attention during their launch - a contest was held on location whereby women in bikinis would use their bodies as paint brushes to create original works of art.
